CoverRadar is an innovative Australian insurance group founded in 2020 in the depths of COVID and focused on offering brokers better products through technology.

CoverRadar Group Pty Ltd is an AFSL Licensee accredited as a Lloyd’s of London broker in order to broker Hutch Underwriting’s binders into the Lloyd’s market. It does not broker any non-group business. Hutch Underwriting Pty Ltd is a Corporate Authorised Representative of CoverRadar Group Pty Ltd and accredited Lloyd’s of London coverholder, operating as an underwriting agency in the Australian market.

The group is independent and employee-owned. Our independence reassures our brokers that our underwriters can be agile and unconflicted when designing and offering products.

Robin Johnson

Robin Johnson

Chief Executive Officer

Robin has a background in tech from the dotcom era and spent the past twenty years as an underwriter, including setting up and running insurance and reinsurance companies in Australia, Singapore and Malaysia. In CoverRadar, he combines his passions to deliver better insurance through technology. In partnership with some of the world’s biggest insurers, and with the help of more than a few friends, he has started a small business with big plans – CoverRadar and Hutch Underwriting.

Dominique Vagi

Chief Operating Officer

Dominique is a seasoned underwriter with a technical background as a chemical engineer and over fifteen years of experience writing construction and property insurance in London and Australia. During this time she set up the Australian construction practice for one of the most respected syndicates at Lloyd’s. She gave up the security of corporate life to embark on an adventure with CoverRadar and Hutch Underwriting, where she is COO of CoverRadar and CUO of Hutch.

Chief Financial Offier

Daniel is a Chartered Accountant with extensive local and international insurance experience spanning over 25 years. He was the Regional CFO for ACE (now Chubb) Insurance in Singapore, responsible for 11 countries before returning to Australia to take on CFO roles at IAG and Avant Mutual. He has joined Hutch as an Advisor.

Greg Walsh

General Counsel

With over 30 years of experience in the legal field, Greg has a profound expertise in financial services law. His background includes significant roles in managing complex legal and regulatory environments and contributing to the strategic growth of businesses. At Hutch, he aims to leverage cutting-edge technology and innovative practices to continue the company’s market disruption. Greg holds a Diploma of Law from the Legal Practitioners Admission Board NSW and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the University of Technology Sydney.
